Hainan preparing new policies to open professional services market to Hong Kong companies

Hainan authorities are preparing a new package of measures to strengthen the openness of the province's professional services market for businesses and specialists in Hong Kong. This was reported by the Hainan Daily newspaper.

According to the newspaper, these regulations include 10 key points. A draft was released to the public in Hainan this week. Everyone has until mid-March to express their opinion on the content of the document and make their own suggestions.

The new measures will focus on law, accounting, banking and insurance, the stock market, construction, project planning, medicine, culture and tourism. Hainan is interested in attracting professionals and competent organizations from Hong Kong in all these areas, the paper noted. As a result, the province will remove barriers to interaction with this special administrative region in the field of in-demand human resources.

The planned innovation aroused great interest among entrepreneurs and officials attending the Hainan Free Trade Port presentation at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center on February 15. More than 500 people attended the event.

The new package of policies, which will make it easier for Hong Kong companies to access the province's professional services market, is expected to significantly improve Hainan's business environment.
